After Doug became “ Green Leadership Certified” he decided to join Green Real Estate Education as our Mid Western Director bringing to the company 16 years of Real Estate as well as superior skills in project management and strong teaching experience. Doug’s experience also includes being a Broker/Manager of a real estate office in the Mid West. He holds many designations such as the ABR (Accredited Buyer’s Representative), SRES(Senior’s Residential Specialist) , GRI(Graduate Real Estate Institute) and the MCSP(Master Certified Sales Professional from the National Home Builders Association).

Doug never passes up an opportunity to attend an educational session in order to stay on top of the ever changing world of real estate. The world of “Green Building” has taken him from representing a green builder to fulfilling a desire to use his skills he learned as an experienced instructor in the field of aviation to instruct his colleagues who will represent the “green built” structures for future generations. He will be training on the impact green building will have not only on the real estate industry but the on the future of the entire world.

Originally from upstate New York with formal education at Colgate University and State University of New York, Doug’s background includes the U.S. Marine Corps, was an a commercial pilot, and owner/manager of a sporting goods business. He is married to Brenda who is the Manager/Librarian a Manatee County Library in Florida. They have six children scattered throughout the country.
